On July 15 and 16, the Groningen Golf Championship was played in a two-day format for the first time. The Noord-Nederlandse Golf & Country Club in Glimmen and Golfclub De Compagnie in Veendam were the golf courses where the championship was played. Under beautiful weather conditions and with perfectly prepared courses, the players had a top weekend!
In the stableford category, Dick Dijk walked away with the victory. He finished ahead of Jantien Posthumus and Erik Mos. In the strokeplay B category Klaas Sie was the best. He finished ahead of Jan Engels and Martine Zandstra. In the strokeplay A category the honor went to Jorn Tuinman. He was the most consistent player after two days of play and managed to leave Hendrik Engels and Guido Mulder behind him.
